On my walk to work every day, with Table Mountain in the background, I think to myself how lucky I am to be living in such a beautiful city. Not only do I get to live in a beautiful city, but I have the privilege to Intern for an NGO that is doing such needed work in the community.
My name is Nicole Kafka. I am a Social Work student from Canada. I will be working for Big Brothers Big Sisters of South Africa for the next three months.
In the next three months, I will be managing a case load of matches, recruiting new Bigs and learning other daily tasks of a case manager. So far, my experience at Big Brothers Big Sisters has been a great learning experience. Learning is made a lot easier when working with such a fun and supportive group of people. In the short time that I've been here so far, I am amazed at their dedication.

Hi, I'm an intern dealing with the Media and some of the events that are happening here at BBBSSA. Thus far, the biggest break I had was to deal with BBBSSA's first time ever National Celebration of Mentorship in November 2006. Apart from all the work, I'm enjoying myself here at BBBSSA and it has been great. I'm learning new things every day. It is great to be associated with such an organisation that is trying to make a difference in somebody's life.
